Delivery and payment
Each KWICK HOUSE kit is made to order, and its delivery is priced for your address rather than from a tariff. Payment is by bank transfer only and nothing is paid online: you pay the full amount, or a 50% deposit with the balance due when the kit is ready. Delivery is not included and is invoiced separately at that stage. Allow 8 to 10 weeks to delivery from the day your payment reaches us. The kit arrives on pallets, on a lorry with no crane, so you unload it yourself.
How an order works
Choose the model and its options on the product page and add the kit to your basket. At checkout, give the delivery address, choose how you will unload the pallets and describe the access to your address, then place the order. Nothing is paid online, and delivery is not priced at this stage.
When you place the order, we show our bank details on screen and email them to you. Pay by bank transfer, either the full amount or a 50% deposit with the balance due when your kit is ready, and use your order number as the payment reference.
Your kit goes into production once at least the deposit reaches us. When it is ready, we email you the delivery invoice, with the balance if you paid a deposit, and you pay both in one transfer. The kit leaves the workshop once that payment has reached us.
Where we deliver and how delivery is priced
We have a guide price for delivery to 31 countries in Europe: every country of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway, Montenegro and Albania. Within Europe, the kit travels from the workshop by road, on pallets.
There is no fixed price for delivery. Our kits run from a 4.5 m² BBQ hut to a 170 m² log cabin, so the price depends on the kit as well as on the address, and we invoice delivery separately when your kit is ready. The table below gives a guide price for each country. Ask us before you order and we will tell you the delivery price for your kit and address within two working days.
| Delivery to | Guide price |
|---|---|
| Latvia, Lithuania | €150 to €300 |
| Estonia | €350 to €600 |
| Finland | €400 to €750 |
| Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway | €500 to €2,000 |
| Austria, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia | €700 to €2,000 |
| Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, Montenegro, Albania | €1,000 to €3,000 |
| The United Kingdom | from €1,500 |
If your country is not in the table, you can still order, and we will contact you with the delivery price for your address.
The United Kingdom is outside the EU, so a kit going there crosses a customs border, where import VAT and any duty apply.
From payment to delivery: an estimated 8 to 10 weeks
Allow 8 to 10 weeks to delivery from the day your payment reaches us, whether the full amount or the deposit. That covers making the kit in the workshop and the journey by road. A bank transfer can take a few working days to arrive, and the weeks count from the day it arrives. It is an estimate, and we agree the delivery day with you before the lorry leaves the workshop.
No kit includes a foundation, and the base has to be level and finished before the first log goes down. How it works sets out which parts of the job are yours and which are ours.
Unloading: no crane on the lorry
The lorry has no crane. The pallets are about 4 to 6 metres long, depending on the kit, and cannot be unloaded by hand. You unload them yourself, with a forklift or a telehandler on site on the day of delivery, hired and paid for by you. Before you order, check that you can hire one near you, and book it once you know the delivery day. We also tell you the carrier's estimated arrival time, as a window of about two hours, for example 10:00 to 12:00. If the pallets cannot be unloaded when the lorry arrives because there is no forklift or telehandler on site, or for another reason that is your responsibility, such as a problem with access to your address, the carrier charges us for it. We pass on to you the reasonable charges that result, including those for waiting time or a second delivery.
Whether the lorry can get close to where the building will stand depends on the access to your address, so describe it at checkout, under "Access to your address": the road in, any narrow lane or gate on the way, the ground the machine will work on and where the pallets can be put down.
Checking the delivery
Go through the pallets against the parts list before you start building. The parts list, the drawings and the step-by-step instructions for your model come with the kit. The structural parts are numbered, and the same number appears in the parts list and on the drawings. Some of the material, boards and battens among it, comes by the metre rather than as individual pieces, and the parts list gives those lines in running metres, so check them by length.
If a part is missing or damaged, tell us: we replace it free of charge and send it within 2 weeks. The risk of loss or damage in transit stays with us until the pallets are handed over to you at your address.
The timber structure carries a 10-year warranty.
