The eight KWICK HOUSE summer house kits run from 5 to 17.5 m², and all have walls of 44 mm tongue-and-groove logs stacked one on top of another. One of them has a front canopy.

All eight stay under 40 m², so two people can put up the shell of one in 3 to 4 days from numbered structural parts, drawings and step-by-step instructions. Those days do not include the roof covering or finishing.

Summer house with a canopy

On one model the roof runs on past the front wall to form a canopy: Summer House 6m x 3m with Canopy, 17 m². The Summer House 5m x 4m, 17.5 m² in the list above has a similar floor area and no canopy, so you can compare the two directly.

Two models share the 4m x 3m footprint. Summer House 4m x 3m, 10 m², Reverse Apex Roof has its ridge parallel to the front, with openings for a double door and four windows. Summer House 4m x 3m, 10 m² has a mono-pitch roof, one door and two windows.

What you add to a summer house kit

Roof covering, windows and doors, guttering and insulation are priced on each product page, on the models that offer them. The base is yours to build; the lorry has no crane, so a forklift or telehandler unloads the pallets (delivery and payment). The timber arrives bare: paint your wooden summer house yourself, in any colour. The assembly page shows how the walls go up, and our guide covers the planning rules for a summer house. How it works follows the order from start to delivery.

Common questions

What is the difference between the two 17.5 m² summer houses?

The shape. Summer House 5m x 4m is a rectangle and Summer House 4.5m x 4.5m is square, with the same floor area.

Does a summer house kit include a base?

No kit includes a foundation, and we do not sell one. The base is yours to build, level and finished before the first log goes down.

How does a summer house differ from a log cabin here?

Mainly in size. The summer houses stop at 17.5 m², while our log cabins start at 21 m² and include loft, twin skin and clad versions; both use the same 44 mm tongue-and-groove wall logs, except for one clad log cabin with 34 mm wall sections.
